About me

I didn’t become a therapist by accident. Long before I trained formally, people in my life—colleagues, friends, seemed to find their way to me when they needed someone who would really listen. Over time, I realised that the moments I felt most purposeful were the ones spent supporting people through their challenges, helping them untangle their thoughts, and witnessing the relief that comes from feeling genuinely heard. That recognition is what led me to retrain as a therapist.

My previous careers gave me a deep understanding of how complex, stressful, and emotionally demanding life can be. They also taught me that listening—properly listening—isn’t passive. It’s an active, compassionate skill that can help people feel safe enough to explore what hurts and hopeful enough to imagine something different.

Becoming a therapist allowed me to turn that natural way of being into a professional practice. Today, I bring together evidence based approaches with the same grounded, attentive and empathetic presence that has always been at the heart of how I connect with people.
